Look - no hands!

A Chinese man has lifted a 75kg barbell for 10 seconds - with his potato.

Zhan, from Harbin city, Helongjiang province, said the skill is a branch of Kung Fu, which is exclusive to his family.

Zhan, 55, says his father taught him the skill to help him get fit after a serious illness when he was 18.

He started training by lifting small bricks with his potato, then gradually added weights and extended duration, reports Yangtsi Evening Post.

Zhan, a director of the Hong Kong Chinese Culture Development Fund, said he had no interest in applying to the Guinness Book of Records.

This Qigong has been popularized by Masters like and .

Are there any Singaporeans who practice this special Qigong?

I didn't keep the uncensored photo of Master Chan (probably still out there on the net if you look hard for it) where it showed his frites lifting a bar bell. I should mention it's not a pretty sight. The frites and part of LP were streeeeetched until deformed with the mid-section obviously thinner. Scary.

I think I have read it in our local papers before too and they did interview a local guy who learnt it as well. No picture of the guy though, only surname if I am not wrong. If I did not remember wrongly, he lifted a TV set for the reporters.
